Eugene Wang grew up immersed in the vegetarian food business. Since 2010, his vision for launching Sophie’s Kitchen, the first Plant-Based Seafood Alternative, has manifested into a viable category innovation lauded by the press and social media thought leaders. Sophie’s Kitchen had won numerous recognitions from companies like PepsiCo and Chipotle. 

In 2019, Eugene took the alternative protein to the microorganism level and started another venture - Sophie’s BioNutrients. The Singapore-based company grows microalgae in bioreactors, & recently expanded to Europe. The company created the world’s first allergen-free microalgae-based dairy alternatives and microalgae-based burger patties with its microalgae protein concentrate.

Eugene brings a unique experience of innovation to MGVCP. as Food Science & Protein Advisor,  Eugene's input will help create a purpose built Biotechnology Labs, & R&D Facility at MGVCP BIOAGRI DEPOT ONE, while offering invaluable advise to our team on ground as they work on scientific, & food system validations on our Smart Protein Farms.

Designing Sustainable Agriculture for Pakistan

Umair Ahmed is the Founder & CEO of Vital Agri Nutrients ltd (VAN) & Vital Green ltd.(VG).

VAN is a specialty fertilizer, soil amendments, organic fertilizer and bio fertilizer manufacturing company, and VG is an Agri services company which operates one of the largest agri service center chains in Pakistan providing access to finance, market linkages, access to inputs and advisory to farmers.

Umair has worked with international bodies such as UNDP, IFC and ADB. He has advised Government of Pakistan and Government of Punjab of matters related to development of Agriculture. He is a chemical engineer by training and also holds a business degree.  

Umair & his extraordinary team, are the recipients of several recognitions and awards including Awards from PIF (Pakistan Innovation Foundation), and MDF (Market Development Facility) Government of Australia. Most recently, DESCON also became a strategic partner at VAN & VG.

Ammar Jaffri is the Chairman & Founder of Digital Pakistan

Former Additional Director General FIA and currently leading number of national and international initiatives, Mr. Jaffri also leads the SDGs Academy of Pakistan. With his experience & vast global network, he has deep knowledge & expertise  especially in the use of latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain and Cloud Computing for rapid development in Pakistan. Mr. Jaffri also currently leads a number of projects dealing with cyber security and proactive behavior-based incident response in cyber emergencies. With a distinguished career in the civil service of Pakistan, Mr. Jaffri is fully familiarised with how government machinery and institutions work. He proudly represents Pakistan at global and national forums and currently leading several initiatives encompassing thematic areas like emerging technologies, SDGs, cyber security, and development economics. 

A visionary with a passion for empowering the youth & bridging the knowledge gap with collaborations,, hundreds of successful entrepreneurs and professionals are serving on the ground enabling the pathway for a Sustainable Pakistan  & converting his ideas, concepts & visions into action & reality.

Global Advisor- Growth & Development

  Mary Kurek, is the President & CEO of Frontrunners Development, Inc.

Mary began working life as the youngest member of the NC Governor's Staff at

19 and was awarded the Governor’s Long Leaf Pine Award for her work. From there,

she worked with international dignitaries through a US government program and an

international visitor's exchange program designed to improve multicultural relationships.

She worked for eight years as the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce next

to the world's largest Marine Corps Air Station and graduated from the US Chamber

of Commerce Institute for Organization Management. She was awarded a

Commendation from the Commanding General of MCAS, Cherry Point for her impact.

In 2007, Mary wrote a networking book that was endorsed by the American Business

Women's Association and moved her business model toward social entrepreneurship.

Today, Frontrunners Development, Inc. houses a business development agency

aimed at nurturing partnership opportunities that expand impact by matching solution

providers with country leaders and decision-makers. The agency, which supports the

United Nations SDGs (and centers its work on SDG #17- Partnerships for all goals),

has facilitated connections and relationships in more than 75 countries.   Kurek currently represents the presiding monarchy of the country of Madagascar as an appointed Counselor for Trade & Investment.

Frontrunners operates a curated community of innovators and publishes the first

business networking media platform aimed at impact, & Mary Kurek has conducted 500+

international interviews with the platform receiving views from 160 countries annually.

Frontrunners Development enjoys partnerships with several worldwide organizations,

like the Sub-Saharan Open University (Nigeria) Yorghas Foundation (Poland), and

Living Learning & Working, Inc. (US). 

The agency provides advisory and media support for events produced by World Youth Summit and the Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development-Africa. 

Kurek was appointed to the NC Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging in 2022.

Mary is also the co-founder of two nonprofits and sits on the boards of several international

organizations that work on education, youth development, entrepreneurship, and trade.
